The Boston Community Leadership Academy (BCLA) seeks an Interim Headmaster for the 2010-2011 academic year. BCLA is seeking a dynamic educational leader who embraces the mission of the school. The Interim Headmaster will serve as the instructional leader of BCLA, providing guidance and direction to ensure sustained improvement in instructional practices leading to higher achievement for all students. The Interim Headmaster will work with administrators and teacher leaders to uphold the Pilot School principles and practices. In this way, the Interim Headmaster will understand and exercise the school’s autonomies in budget, staffing, curriculum and assessment, governance, and schedule to forward the vision/mission of the school. To do so, the Interim Headmaster must demonstrate high-energy, passion, and the willingness to problem-solve.
