The Center
for Collaborative Education coordinates this network, providing
extensive assistance in the following four areas:
- Individual
school coaching, including in the areas of teaching and learning,
assessment, governance, scheduling, and leadership
- Network
professional development, including an annual Spring Leadership
Retreat, an annual teacher sharing conference, developing authentic
assessments, and monthly leadership meetings
- Advocacy,
including negotiating Pilot Schools annual budgets and policies
with the district, and building community and political support
for increased Pilot Schools
- Research
and evaluation, including documenting the impact of Pilot Schools
on student achievement
