Grant supports pilot schools

The Boston Foundation has granted the Center for Collaborative Education (CCE), based in Roxbury, $100,000 to work with existing and future pilot schools, small autonomous public schools located throughout Boston. The number of pilot schools has grown rapidly in recent years; by the 2004-2005 school year, 19 pilot and Horace Mann charter schools will be open in Boston. Next year will be a time for expanding pilots as they gain greater exposure and more acceptance as a viable choice for Boston’s students.
